Deductible recovery?
What is deductible recovery (subrogation)?
Deductible recovery is a process where State Farm attempts to recover the applicable deductible you paid from the responsible party on your behalf. Deductible recovery may include recovery of some or all of your deductible depending on the liability decision.
The length of time to recover payments varies with each claim. It can take a while depending on the number of parties involved, their cooperation, and other circumstances. The process is not always successful.
For example, some claims take two to four months, but recovery can take up to a year or longer to be completed, especially if legal action is needed.
- The Department will need a copy of the denial letter from State Farm. If the claim was denied, State Farm is required to provide Mr. Heeger a denial letter.
- The State Farm agent can get the requested information even if the agent is no longer Mr. Heeger’s current agent.

Good afternoon,
The claim was never denied by the claims team. If you have further questions, our claims team will be able to assist you going forward. Their contact is (855) 341-8184 and his claim number is 1375Z101B. I talked with them and they advised you will need to speak with them on that claim.

Mr Heeger- Our office at this time will consider on our end the case closed, you have an active claim with State Farm and it seems to be proceeding so that is good. I don’t foresee that dept of insurance would have any say or justification for your case at this time. Wish you the best. Jessica Sc…
